Advanced Avalanche Course at the Burnie Glacier Chalet Week 3

This course is for advanced ski mountaineers who wish to improve their personal forecasting. In a guide’s course format, you learn to find the necessary information and focus on what’s important. The week is not so much about how to dig perfect pits (although you will learn that), but about making the right decision out in the mountains. We’ll use the latest in research as well as time-tested terrain analysis to hone your avalanche skills. Note: there will also be a lot of very good skiing.
