Mountaineering Courses at the Burnie Glacier Chalet
This winter, we are offering a new Intro to Ski Mountaineering Course. If you are a skier, but have not ventured into the wild mountains before, this is your chance to learn it all. Avalanche skills (AST course included), the art of uphill skiing, glacier travel, navigation … all at a somewhat slower pace than a guided trip.

The price includes:
- flight to the lodge and back
- all meals and accommodation at the lodge
- guide’s services
- rental gear as required
Not included:
- your access to Smithers
- meals and accommodation in Smithers
- alcoholic beverages at the lodge
- 6% tax
All prices are in Canadian dollars. 6% Goods and Services Tax apply to all prices. Most technical gear is included on all trips and courses. On longer trips, tents and food is also included.
Mountaineering is an inherently dangerous sport. All participants must sign a waiver.
